Privacy Policy
AlertU (com.unstablesystems.AlertU) helps you get louder alerts when notifications contain words you choose.
Data on your device
- Alert rules, settings, and History are stored locally on your phone.
- We do not upload your rules or notification history to our servers.
- Keyword matching uses notification text Android shows in the shade; AlertU does not read full in-app email or chat bodies unless that text appears in the notification.
Optional diagnostics
If you turn on Setup → Diagnostics, the app may send crash and diagnostic data to Google Firebase (Crashlytics and Analytics) to help fix problems. A diagnostic trace may also be kept in app-private storage on your device. You can turn Diagnostics off anytime in Setup.
Feedback
If you tap Send feedback, your email app opens. You choose what to send. If Diagnostics is on, a diagnostic log may be attached. Please do not include passwords or unnecessary personal information.
Rules backup
Export/import creates a JSON file you control (for example in Downloads). We do not receive that file unless you send it to us.
Accounts
AlertU does not offer user accounts. There is no sign-in.
Children
AlertU is not directed at children under 13.
